Last night's adventures.....
Went to see this "game show" hosted by Todd Bridges. If you don't know who I'm talking about maybe this will help:
Willis from Different Strokes "What you talkin' about Willis". All grown up...50 yrs old and he says he's been sober for 20 yrs so kudos to him. He was totally down to earth and funny. The show on the other hand....was a complete train wreck. It was called "Lovers or Losers". It's at the Plaza currently. Couples compete for cruises, vacation packages, hotel stays, crap like that. The couples that were picked last night....pretty much slow. I think they may have all rode in on the short bus together. That being said, it was a train wreck you can't look away from. So if you're into that....check out the show.
Next....
Had to stop at the "Pump n Snack" for gas on the way home last night. Yes, that is really what it is called:
The name in itself is comedy. It's a Vegas funny convenience store legend. So.....I get out of the car and there is a lady in a mobility scooter parked at the pump in front of me. I thought to myself "Is she filling up?" What the hell....those things don't run on gas that I know of....it was weird. I went in the store expecting some weird shit and weird shit there was! I got a 7up for 50 cents which was awesome. I looked around the store..,.it was barely stocked with anything! What it WAS stocked with was TONS and TONS of nudie mags. Ok....who the hell reads nudie mags anymore, really? Playboy magazine was great stuff in the 50's, 60's, and 70's...heck they even had some good stuff in the early 80's. However, for the last 10-15 years or so the women in the pages are such obvious implant and surgery queens the results are almost anti-erotic. Beyond that, who would pay for it? There are better looking women on the internet for free. It made me wonder....what is Playboy and other nudie magazines business model these days? Playboy used to have pretty good fiction and political writing, interviews, etc. I suppose there is a lot of content there that one would not get from internet porn but I am still baffled.
Along with all the racks of nudie mags, I get up to the counter to pay and the counter has racks and racks sitting on the counter of wanna be Viagra and sex type pills. Who buys those? Then I recalled my trip to Tijuana. There is a pharmacy on EVERY corner. Each one has a sign on their windows that they sell Viagra. I thought to myself I could go back to Tijuana and buy up some Viagra and be a Viagra street salesman if there really is such a high demand.
You always have to have back up job plans in life.
